Happy Thanksgiving

November 22nd, 2007 at 12:15 am CST by Jilly Dybka Posted in Blabbing, Nashville |

Happy Thanksgiving — I’ll be back on Monday.

Things I am grateful for:

My family and friends.

I can read.

Caffeine.

My neighbors aren’t assholes.

Lucidity.

Head above water.

11-year-olds can’t vote

Feeding the birds.

My car works.

Health getting better.

I have good bosses.

  My government is effective.

I don’t have to go to the laundromat to do laundry.

The poetry world — real and online.

ps. today is the Feast Day of St. Cecilia, the Patron Saint of musicians. And poets. :)

Hymn to St. Cecilia by Benjamin Britten (Words by W. H. Auden)

Thanks - hope you had a good holiday. Or weekend, or whatever, in Wales. :D
