Okay, two things caught my eye (oops) and caused me to comment:
1. The picture
2. Comments about lack of female poets
I doubt very seriously if you’ve heard anything about a new book entitled “Raising Black Flags: Original Poetry By and About Pirates.” If you want more info, let me know and I’ll provide it. It’s an anthology of poems all centered around piracy or life at sea and the majority of the poets are female. I don’t think any of them have cool eyepatches like yours though . . .

Jilly, not easy days – I’ve been in that boat myself – but your patch is just fabulous in the way of these things, & thanks for posting the picture up. Back when I thought I was going to end up with one, I even accosted a guy in a pub one time because he was wearing the most beautiful soft black leather eyepatch – but he said someone had made it for him. I’ve been thinking about you.
