Fascinating lecture on sound and poetry. Some other sound-intensive poets I think of off the top of my head (just talking about poets writing in English here) are Dylan Thomas, H.D., W.B. Yeats, Denise Levertov, Gwendolyn Brooks, James Wright, Thomas McGrath, William Carlos Williams, Olga Broumas.

Might be interesting, in this connection, to explore how sounds are used in classical Chinese poetry. In some classical Chinese poem forms, the spoken tonal sounds of Chinese had to follow and repeat certain specific patterns from one line in the poem to the next. I only know about this generally from reading things here and there, I don’t know any Chinese and don’t know enough to elaborate in any detail.
