I was going to write on my blog about this pairing of Lulu with the old poetry.com model, but got tired thinking about it. Will you give me some space, Jilly? Just a few things I noticed: in the FAQ one reads, “Is there an entry fee or obligation to purchase anything?” “Answer: There is no fee whatsoever to enter the poetry contest.” Strange that they don’t completely answer their own FAQ. With Poetry.com, wasn’t it that every poem gets published . . . now buy the anthology? Seems like POD’s the perfect fit. (Don’t get me wrong — I love POD — just not this new abuse of it) Also, I read an article with a quote from the CEO recently in which he mocked the amount of bad poetry Lulu already publishes. So he said it and then realized a way to cash in more. This makes me sad and yet, a little jealous I didn’t think of it.

  3. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the link to Neko Case. Middle Cyclone is my favorite album of the year so far.
