We should do a poll to guess the new poet laureate. You can vote here:

The software made me put in some answers, before I could publish it, but I actually have no idea.
You can add the name of a poet, too — hit the vote button to add it (or to vote for a poet who already appears.)

Thanks, Jilly, for the link to Enright’s article. That made my day.
Yep, probably Jorie Graham. She’s got more buzz than usual.
Dear Jilly
In view of the fact that you’ve blogged about the Russian poet Vladimir Mayakovsky in the past, and are a poet yourself, I thought you’d be interested in the website for my new novel Reconstructing Mayakovsky. The site, http://www.reconstructingmayakovsky.com
is experimental, inventive and interactive. Like the novel, it combines elements of science fiction, poetry, the detective story and historical fiction to tell the story of Mayakovsky in a radically different way.
If you enjoy it, I hope you’ll share it with your friends or on your blog. Thanks.
Tried adding Amiri Baraka to the poet laureate vote list, but it wouldn’t add — I tried three times, but when I clicked the vote button, nothing happened.
If there’s some kind of a delayed reaction, and all three attempts populate later, I only intended to vote once…
This was a fun list today! Thanks!
Sorry you had trouble, Lyle. I added him.
